Your style guide or a new one
We work to your style guide and brand voice, or build you one as part of the project.
Accessibility built in
Structure, headings, tables and alt text are set up for WCAG 2.2 while the content is being written, rather than retrofitted once the file reaches design.
An assessor’s eye on every draft
We use the same framework to independently assess annual reports based on a best practice framework.
What we deliver
We can coordinate your entire report or support you where it’s needed. Each part below is a service on its own, and they run in this order across a reporting season.
Structure, messaging hierarchy and theme agreed before the drafting starts
Briefing and planning, contributor coordination, versions tracked and the schedule held
Chair and CEO messages, operational reviews, performance summaries and case studies, drawn from interviews with your internal experts
Sharper structure, better flow and clearer wording, including the sections your team wrote
Copy that is ready to lay out, with notes for your designer, and coordination through every proof
A final check of spelling, grammar, numbers and consistency before sign-off
The whole report, or just the sections you need
The evidence base guiding our work
We built a framework for annual report communication based on research and best practice examples. It guides the reports we write and produce, and it’s what we score against in a Report Review.
When we write your report, the same criteria set the brief — what has to be explained, how it should read, and what it is checked against before it goes out.

More about our annual report services
Do you write the whole report, or just some sections?
We can do both. Some clients hand over full content production. Others bring us in for the Chair and CEO messages, the operational review, or a final proofread.
Can you work with our existing design agency?
Yes. We work with design agencies and in-house teams to supply design-ready copy with layout notes.
What does an annual report cost?
It depends on how much we write, how much we edit and how much of the project we run. We quote on a defined scope after a conversation about your report and your timeline.
What sectors do you work with?
ASX-listed companies, private companies, government agencies, statutory authorities, NFPs and industry bodies.
Do you also review annual reports?
Yes. Report Review is a separate, independent service that scores your published report against the framework and ranks what to fix first. Many clients start there and use the roadmap to brief the next report.
Do you write in plain language?
Yes. We write in plain language, work to your style guide, and can build you one if you don’t have it. Readability is scored section by section against a target range, so it is a result you can see rather than a claim.
